Andrew Whitworth is the Head of Public Policy at Curve. He is a specialist in fintech regulation and policy, and has been working on issues around financial regulation in the private, public and academic sectors for over 10 years. He previously worked at the Bank of England's Fintech Hub as well its prudential policy and international departments, and earlier in his career advised financial firms on political risk in the UK, US and EU.
Andrew has a PhD from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in International and Comparative Political Economy, with a focus on the politics of financial regulation. His firm belief is that welfare-enhancing innovation can only come about through close and active cooperation between the private and public sectors. His latest book is Regulating banks: the politics of instability.
