Prior to joining OnDeck, Gorfine served as director of financial markets policy and legal counsel of the Milken Institute where he focused on financial innovation, capital access, and financial market issues. He spearheaded the Institute's work on innovative capital access tools and new financial technologies. Gorfine has provided expert testimony before Congress, frequently engages with policymakers and market participants, and is a national media contributor on these topics. Before joining the Institute, Gorfine worked at the international law firm Covington & Burling LLP. He served a clerkship with U.S. District Court Judge Catherine C. Blake in the District of Maryland. A graduate of Brown University, he holds a J.D. from George Washington University Law School and an M.A. from the Paul H. Nitze School for Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University.
