David is currently on garden leave having joined Experian Australia in October 2015, overseeing the credit bureau, decisioning software and analytics businesses. Prior to Experian, David held senior positions at Veda and Equifax, with client side experience developed over eight years as CRO of CBA’s Retail Bank. Subject matter expert in Risk Management, Privacy, data sharing and comprehensive credit reporting. Considerable interaction with government, regulators, OAIC and consumer groups. Chair (3 years) and Board membership (10 years) of the Australian Retail Credit Association focused on industry leadership in in encouraging the move to Comprehensive Credit Reporting. Following an academic career (B.A. and PhD in Geography / Quantitative methods) David was appointed as Senior Marketing analyst at Experian in 1987 to commercialise the (then) new MOSAIC geodemographic classification system.
