Country Head of the Netherlands

Eelco is the Country Head of the Netherlands at Raisin, the pan-European marketplace for financial products. Eelco launched the Dutch Raisin platform in the summer of 2018 and is responsible for Raisin’s activities in the Netherlands. Before he joined Raisin, he built and scaled the Dutch market presence for Savedo/Deposit Solutions and worked at Credit Suisse and Deloitte. Eelco holds an MScBA degree (cum laude) from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, and a BSc degree from the Maastricht University School of Business & Economics.

What is the future of 'flanker brands'? Are they a short-term fix?

Flanker brands are a side business, run by a bigger companies, often banks. Olivier said ING's flanker company Yolt has gained 500,000 users in a year.

The purpose of flanker brands is not to encourage cross-selling but to learn and access more data to continue growing.

Francesco said there is an opportunity for TrueLayer to expand abroad but he is focusing on "riding the Open Banking wave" for now.
