Eric Thaller

Eric Thaller is Executive Vice President of Capital Markets at Prosper Marketplace. In this role, he is responsible for growing Prosper’s funding base and overseeing the experience for all Prosper’s investors. He is also responsible for developing new offerings that aim to increase access and distribution of Prosper loan products.   Eric brings more than 15 years experience in the investment management business to Prosper. Prior to joining Prosper, he was Director of Risk Management at Adelante Capital Management. Previously, he was Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Charles Schwab Investment Management where he was responsible for the firm’s first proprietary international equity fund and served on the Investment Policy Committee. Eric was also a Partner at Standard Pacific Capital where he managed a quantitatively driven hedge fund.   Eric has an M.B.A. in Finance and Statistics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A in Economics, Magna Cum Laude, from University of California, San Diego.  He also completed The General Course at the London School of Economics.
