Zopa has now made over £6bn of loans in the UK and has now launched a next generation bank to extend its range of financial products to consumers.
Giles is also chairman of: Bethnal Green Ventures, Europe’s leading early-stage tech for good VC (130 investments to date) for ambitious founders using technology to tackle big social and environmental problems that aim to improve millions of lives; MarketFinance, the FinTech platform where businesses have raised over £2.5bn in working capital; and carwow, the marketplace with over 7% of the UK new car retail market. He is an independent non-executive director and member of the risk, remuneration and transformation committees of Bank of Ireland Group plc in Dublin.
