Ian began his career in financial markets at the London Stock Exchange (LSE) where he spent his formative years in their strategy and business development divisions helping lead the transformation of the London equities market from a quote-driven system to an electronic central market structure. He joined the Credit Agricole group in 2004 where he remained for 10 years, working initially in America, as US CEO, and subsequently in Europe, as UK CEO of the Cheuvreux equities franchise. In 2015 Ian joined IG Group (IGG LN) as head of UK and Ireland and Group head of business development. As well as managing a geographical business with over £200m in annual revenues he is leading the diversification of IG’s strategy expanding into digital advisory with an aim to disrupt the UK wealth management industry. Ian is a Sloan Fellow of London Business School graduating with Distinction and has a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from the University of Leeds.
