James is a partner at Airtree Ventures and loves working with ambitious founders building great businesses in enterprise software, security, fintech and consumer internet. He currently leads Airtree’s investments in 90Seconds and Paxata. James hails from Canberra, but has spent the last decade living and working in Europe, Silicon Valley and China. Prior to Airtree, he was Vice President at Accel in London, where he worked with companies like Weaveworks, Simplivity (acquired by HP), Semmle, E8 Storage and Skipjaq. Before Accel, he was based in Silicon Valley where he founded and ran BipSync, a SaaS-based research platform for investment management. James has also spent time in the tech banking team at Morgan Stanley. James has an MBA from Stanford and a B.Sc. & LLB from UNSW.
