Jose Luis joined BBVA in 2010 and worked in various roles, Head of IT Asia, with the expansion of the bank in China, Head of IT for Consumer finance global, and since 2018 in strategy of Open Banking global for BBVA.
Has accumulated over 20 years of international experience in Project and Program Management, Business Consulting, Application Architecture, Operations and finally Strategy. Jose Luis worked with large national and international Financial Institutions: Cajamadrid (now BANKIA) , BBVA and Santander (Spain), Bancomer (Mexico), Banca Mora (Andorra), WLB (Hong Kong), BEA (Hong Kong) and BBVA (Hong Kong, China and Global unit)
Coming from a heavy background in technology and Consumer finance Jose Luis is a convinced and enthusiastic supporter of the Open Banking and Embedded Finance as the next logical steps for achieving a banking without borders
