Kristine Pontoppidan is Head of Section at the Danish Ministry for Business and Growth and work primarily with entrepreneurship and alternative finance. For the past 2 years, she has been working solely with crowdfunding with a special focus on the regulatory setup in Denmark and in the EU. Kristine was the project leader on the efforts to map the barriers and potentials in regards to crowdfunding in Denmark. The report was published in May 2015 and has been a collaboration between both authorities (tax, business, financial etc.) and the private sector (Danish Chamber of Commerce, Danish Crowdfunding Association and startups). Their work to promote the understanding and use of crowdfunding amongst Danish companies is an ongoing effort. Kristine is also the appointed expert at the European Crowdfunding Stakeholders Network and work closely with both the Commission and policymakers from other EU countries as well as crowdfunding and business organizations throughout Europe to create a more harmonized market.
