Luke oversees the loan origination Sales function across all channels at Funding Circle, as well as being responsible for the retail investor value proposition. Funding Circle is the world’s leading lending platform for small businesses. Set up in 2010, investors have lent £4 billion to 42,000 businesses across the UK, US and Europe. Funding Circle loans are funded by a diverse array of investors including over 74,000 individuals, local and national government, and financial institutions such as pension funds. Prior to joining Funding Circle, Luke was UK Head of Property Finance for Barclays Business Bank. For two years he oversaw a team of 32 FTE that originated over £800 million of real estate debt across the UK. He ended his time at Barclays Business Bank as their Commercial Director, largely responsible for the commercial and financial performance of the business unit.
