After qualifying as a Barrister in 2002, Mark went to work for the Founder of Capital Investment Management in the UK. He had setup a company that analysed how pension fund expenses could be reduced and how that could increase people's pension pots. Mark then went to work for the City trading firm IFX Markets (IFX) where he worked on both product and business development for retail financial services, setting up the Australian office which became City Index Australia when City Index bought IFX. Mark integrated IFX and City Index and was then headhunted by CMC Markets to head up their UK Partners business where he sold technology solutions to large financial institutions such as RBS / Natwest, helping to integrate both the Goldman Sachs and Digital Look deals. After that he worked for a technology company that created tech solutions in financial services. Mark soon bought that company out with some UK high net worth shareholders and acquired Agency Mobile, a fintech solutions app. He has always wanted to revolutionise retail trading with a new, innovative and free share investment offering which led to him creating dabbl.
