Michael is a highly accomplished compliance manager with 25 years’ of experience in the financial services arena.
He joined Zumo in July 2021 and has been the diving force behind the company’s award-winning ‘compliance-first’ approach. Under Michael’s guidance, Zumo has participated in the FCA’s crypto sprints, and engaged with the trade associations’ consultation responses to help inform the regulator of what works for both consumers and the burgeoning digital assets industry.
Michael has successfully navigated Zumo through regulatory requirements, including the tech based requirements of the FCA’s new financial promotions regime for cryptoasset firms, which took effect in October 2023.
Michael has been a professional member of the International Compliance Association since obtaining his Diploma in Compliance in 2010. His experience lies within compliance advisory and reporting, generally relating to FCA consumer credit requirements, data protection/GDPR, anti-money laundering, corporate governance, regulatory engagement, operational risk, and operational incident management.
