Robert Lawther is Head of Financial Institutions at Hiscox and is a member of the team developing specialist insurance cover for the fintech sector. He has held numerous senior roles over the last 30 years both as a broker and as an underwriter focusing on insurance for financial institutions, worldwide – professional indemnity, directors & officers liability and crime. Hiscox was an early innovator of both specialist cover for the tech industry and cyber cover, dating back some 20 years and remains a leading insurer in both of these areas, continually developing its products to ensure they remain relevant to today’s exposures. Hiscox have combined our experience of financial institutions, tech and cyber to pioneer cover for the fintech sector engaging with the industry to address its exposures to theft and corporate / personal liabilities.
