Sam joined Stripe in 2019 as its first Head of Public Policy for the UK and Ireland. He also focuses on payments policy in the UK and Europe, and in global developments in new forms of digital money such as crypto assets and central bank digital currencies.
He is a policy professional with two decades of experience across the banking and retail sectors. Prior to joining Stripe he ran a cross-sector committee of financial services leaders focused on the future of UK-EU financial services.
Sam is a member of the Payments Board of UK Finance. He holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from Oxford University.
