Head of Capital Markets and Corporate Development
Simon is head of Capital Markets and Corporate Development at Assetz Capital. Formerly he headed the Alternative Finance sector franchise at Liberum, a leading UK independent investment bank, and is responsible for Liberum's advisory and development capital activities in the sector. Liberum has a team dedicated to Alternative Finance, in particular online non-bank lending, and is recognised for its commentary and analysis globally on this growing area. Liberum has advised leading platforms in the sector, as well as backed a number of new and emerging ventures. Simon was part of the founding team at Liberum when it started in 2007 and established its investment banking team. He has 20 years investment banking experience, principally in ECM fundraisings and M&A. Simon is as a Chartered Accountant and a graduate of the London School of Economics.
